This just in Overheard at tech '99 conference



Harvey Scull, Tellabs' (TLAB) vice president of advanced business
development, said that, in order to develop a strong public network, the
industry must focus on making it "ultrareliable," and it should be
competitively priced with current phone services. He added that the key
to the public network's success will be clear voice services. "If you
follow the money," Scull said, "the money's in voice."
