2009 already past for me? Not yet and thanks for taking notice. 2008 was the year, 2009 is now.
Just got back from Umbria.
Last Thu we had 101F (38C in the shadow at our casa), every days was 35C+ and all night 25-30C.

With humidity at 70-75% 'only' not worse than your place.
But this year the zanzare - local 'no-seen-em' mosquitos as nasty as yours - are extremely active, nasty stuff indeed.
