I rather think that a change in capital gains tax will trigger it . For the past 2 or three years many people have made a bundle , just by doing nothing. they will not sell now because of the gains tax,. If the market does go down they are no worse off than if they paid the tax so they continue to stay i n and the market continues to grow. As soon as they see the tax law change they will head for the door in a big way not so much this then could lead to a quick decline with panic moments.
