The thing to keep in mind here is the elimination of transmission of viruses via the blood supply, in particular, hepatits B and C which can have very harmful effects on the liver leading to liver failure. Also no need for blood typing and the product has a much longer shelf life. A recombinant human hemoglobin molecule being mass produced by bacteria and purified and collected to then serve as an oxygen carrying blood substitute. About 1/2 the blood supply in Asia is contaminated with the Hepatitis virus. This product with manufacturing provided by an authority in recombinant DNA protein synthesis(Eli Lilly) could change significantly how medicine and surgery is practiced in the world, a billions of dollars market. Be patient and invest to make lots of $ for the future.......3 years down the road. The stuff works and no major side effects so far, well into phase II studies...........
