MONCTON, N.B., Nov. 7 /CNW/ -The company is pleased to announce that
significant progress has been made over the last few months in order to
bring the Beaver Brook mine into production during the first half of 1997.
The company has obtained the required mining lease from the province and
has completed several steps necessary before the onset of winter.The
following projects have been completed or are in the final stages:
- Completion of the tailings pond dyke.
-Construction of the 66 kV transmission line to the site is progressing
with surveying completed and much of the right-of-way cleared. Line
completion is expected by Mar97.
- Land clearing for the mill site is completed and pouring of the cement
foundation for the mill building is in progress.
- A contract for the purchase of the mill building has been awarded and
erection of the metal structure will commence as soon as the foundation
work allows.
-Completion of a 43 Km access road from the Trans-Canada Highway to the
mine site.
- Most of the concentrator equipment has been sourced and is being
readied and checked prior to shipment to the site and will be installed as
soon as the foundation work is completed.

These steps are in addition to previous work, which included completion
of the service building housing the repair facilities and the miners dry
area,as well as the production ramp and portal.

In order to facilitate funding of the first phase of production (i.e.,
mine and milling facilities) an independent engineering study has been
completed.
Roycefield Resources Ltd.(RYC:TSE)is a publicly traded Canadian mineral
exploration company currently developing the Beaver Brook antimony reserve
near Gander, Nfld. The company plans to produce both concentrates and
value added antimony trioxides for European and North American suppliers of
flame retardants to the plastics and vinyl industries.
