Some thoughts on potential MSN sale:

MSN is just a small part of MSFT-whether or when a sale takes place is a lot less significant to MSFT than it would be to the buyer.

MSFT will take cash, not stock. What would they do with 15 million AOL shares? Not to mention YHOO or CU...

AOL would likely float a secondary issue to raise cash. That would explain the motivation of the analysts' touting that has had no relation to financial reality.
