That's because, in my opinion, no rational human being could possibly come up with a reasonable scenario to explain why anyone should be buying this stock at its current price. In order to do so, you'd have to argue that the most rosy scenario presented by the most out-to-lunch bull be multiplied by 2 and then sped up so that it all happens within the next 6 months. The fact that a marketing deal worth a few million can move this stock stays 1 of two things: 1) people buying this stock are just complete idiots with a lot of money to burn, or 2) the people buying this stock are savy momentum investors playing the "bigger-idiot" game. Unfortunately, I believe that latter is the more likely explanation, which means a lot of small investors are going to be left holding the bag on this one. In order to deserve these multiples, AOL needs to announce multi-million dollar deals (preferably with companies that aren't on the verge of bankruptcy that can actually pay fees) on a weekly basis, at the very least.
