It is not a separate issue. Boy you are just not getting it. During the 50's the top taxes were something like 90%. When we get back to those levels, then extra money is fine. But by and large society needs to decide how the wealth of the country is allocated. You sound more and more right wing all the time. << "The taxes on the rich are much too low" Yup, but that's a different issue. The rich should still decide where their post-tax money goes. "I don't think we should rely on the rich to decide which charities to fund" Do you think we should rely on me to decide which charities I want to donate to, or should we put that up to a vote?
