Tom, I agree. Many stocks are trading below cash for a good reason.
NENG, LQID, STMP, COMS just to name a few.

Bozo's AMZN Q4 2001 "profit" is pro foma. Since AMZN has large interest to pay for its huge debts. AMZN bond holders might eventually own the whole company; while equity holders are holding the bags. AMZN book value is -$3.49. Cash per share has decreased to $1.79.

Like RRRR; it would probably report positive "cash" pro foma earnings like it did in the last 4Q early next week.

CSCO's reported pro foma earning +0.03 cents last week, but actual loss is -0.37/share. And CSCO's cash per share has decreased to 0.85/share.
