Joe, I was an AOL customer for one month. Surely, I was worth $1000 in AOL market cap!

AOL was slow and annoying: bad mail, bad newsgroup subscriptions, llloooonnngggg waits while those irritating graphics loaded. I used my free subscription and booked.

The only thing I enjoyed about AOL was the live chat. Now AOL is giving that advantage away in its new deal with Netscape.

BTW, does anyone know how AOL counts its subscribers? Is a family of four that subscribes to AOL considered 4 subscribers? Are people who log on for one-month free trials considered subscribers? Given AOL's history of blurring the truth, I wonder about company estimates of its subscribers.

John
