+ Sprint does not officially support the phone use as a modem for the laptop, but many use it that way by buying the connector equip and software from Radio Shack. She said it’s easy to set-up.

Note that this works for 1X phones, but does NOT work for EVDO phones on Sprint. For DO phones, you need a separate "Phone as Modem" plan to tether to a laptop (unless you have a Samsung and are willing to hack it).
