I think it would be a major improvement to your website if you added a sentence under each image.

There are many pieces to the various temporary bridges and docking used by engineers in the US Military.

While factually a correct statement, it falls short of conveying what I think you want to convey. Aren't you really trying to convey the positive accomplishments that the military is doing in Iraq?

There are many pieces to the various temporary bridges.. doesn't do it.

Perhaps something that starts out like.... "Military engineers assembling a temporary bridge to [fill in the blank]".

Alternately, you could change your segmentation of photos by "topic". For example: "Rebuilding Iraq" or "Winning the Hearts and Minds", etc.
