Thanks much to all for the very helpful comments. I'm still researching the decision, but I can boil down what I've learned so far succintly: no place is absolutely beloved by everybody, while some have stronger followings than others, even some of the lesser-ranked or lesser-known places have devoted advocates. Whether I'll definitely do better than Schwab is unclear, but I'm still going to switch, if only because I swore to them that I would if they failed to fix the last problem swiftly. They didn't, and now I have to carry out my threat or look as ineffectual as the president on the Middle East. Since many of you are waiting on the edge of your seats to find out what I decide, I'll announce my eventual decision and the reasons for it when it happens.
