I have added the symbol QQQ to this page. QQQ is the Nasdaq 100 symbol that trades like a stock. Options are available and it can be shorted. It trades similiar to the naz composite index most of the time but because it represents the 100 largest naz stocks there are times it shows a divergence. Today for example the naz is up .84% and QQQ is up .3 %. What does this tell us? The broader market is performing better than the largest 100 naz stocks, yesterday the Q's were up a significant percent over the naz composite so today can be viewed as a catch up day for the broader market, a healthy signal.
