[The 400Mhz P2] may be shipping, but how it is selling? Sign me up for one....and about 1600 more for my co-workers. I'm not into shopping for "Generic" processors...just as the majority of computer buyers are not. PS:Is AMD even shipping a Generic Socket1 yet? ;-) PSS:Maybe INTC will throw "the other guys" a bone and tell them how to break the 233Mhz barrier. :-) PSS:As far as making a profit, INTC is king. The generic-chip-punchers have to suck-up to IBM/MOT in order to get a technology that may compete against INTC...but the generic-chip-punchers forgot one thing (again)....that every chip that IBM makes is more money off any potential earnings they may have (which is nill at the moment). IBM is all smiles.
