How come the Mac Mini's haven't been upgraded?

One wonders. Is it lack of a component or are Apple's hardware designers having a harder time than they thought they would keeping up with the change over? It seems like a no brainer. They squished components into iMacs and Laptops...

Perhaps the new design is a bomb waiting to happen? Maybe they can't figure out a design that won't eat into iMac sales?

They are looking pretty wimpy to me. When they first arrived on the scene there were somewhat compelling. Right now I can't imagine anyone buying one. They're basically obsolete G4 PPC Macs in a world where G5s are obsolete. Can a device be 'double obsolete'?
