>Even Big Bad T is now an internet stock. The telecoms have been amazing! But, then again, isn't that what this medium is all about? Modern day acks and nacks flowing through space. The only investment decision is what kind of space...
...Love the ACKs and NACKs reference, TB! The logic here is that the EUspace is where we were, telecom/netwise a few years ago, and that the smaller fish are m&a targets of the just recently de-nationalized telco BigBoyz like DT, FTE, BTY, etc.
DT - Deutsche Telekom ADR, +3.25 = +7.36%
FTE - France Telecom ADR, +5.5 = +6.19%
BTY - British Telecom ADR, +1 = +0.61%
KPN - Royal PTT ADR, +2.625 = +4.53%
SCM - Swisscom ADR, +0.0 flat = +0.0%
TI - Telecom Italia ADR, +3.875 = +4.09%
TEF - Telefonos d'Espana ADR, +4 = +2.79%
...and the telco BigBoyz are proxies for folks to invest in the EU. For American investors, they beat EuroWEBS - and the locals tend to move their euros into them during bear swings (they also act as currency hedges because their revenue is not so export-dependent as most EU companies').
