Re Pensions - just found out that the S&P Compustat stock reports, that are available from Fidelity contain very detailed income statements as well as balance sheets for the last 5 years, They contain even the frequently ignored pensions expenses as well as the gross and net liabilities. Very good data that have not found elsewhere other than sifting through the 10k . The data above can be found in the detailed balance sheet table under "Supplemental". I checked with some usual suspects like BA and XLS and found them to be on par with what I found in the 10k. This is a big timesaver for me as I don't think the pension liabilities should be ignored even though many companies and analyst suggest such.
