Warning semis news: The three leaders in communications semiconductor companies, PMC-Sierra, Broadcom, and Altera may be faced with a slowdown. In a much anticipated move, Mitel, a local company and another leader in this space, has just sold off two other divisions and their name, to Terry Matthews who with Corels Mike Cowpland co-started the same company in 1973.
However, the share price continued to slide as comments from CEO Mandy this week stated communication semiconductor sales will slow in the next three quarters. Expect the three companies mentioned above to make similer announcements this week. Tight stops if you're long.
Trade smart,
Sharck
