Highpoints from Bear Stearns

From a yahoo poster.........................3/1/05

These were the most interesting points to me:

- Excited about direct to video deals with Lions Gate (Cuneo and Arad both mentioned), including Avengers coming out Q1 06
- Deal with 7/11 to sell comic books in stores, which will double the retail outlets in the U.S. (Avi described as the best news)
- Deal with Barnes & Noble to sell comics in 300 more stores
- Deal to serve as master licensee for Curious George franchise (which will have a feature film out in Feb. 06, with Ron Howard directing)
- Fantastic Four sounds great, and will introduce it at Show West on March 17. Amazing branding.
- X-Men actors in and director soon.
- Feverishly working on S-M 3 and will be ahead of the game for May 2007 planned release. Will be bigger and better.
- Developing Wolverine
- Namor in active development and has a script, although as always may be subject to rewrites.
- Deathlok is "our version of Terminator", has director, is one of the best scripts in town, and now talking to talent.
- Ghost Rider has Nick Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Sam Elliot, and Peter Fonda, with Mark Steven Johnson directing. In production, and will be PG-13.
- Iron Man just got Nick Cassavetes as director, and he is doing a script rewrite.
- Punisher 2 script being finished, and they are about to start going.
- Hulk 2 will have a new approach, and will happen "pretty soon."
- Luke Cage will happen but now probably without Jamie Fox
- Blade will continue and there will be all kinds of news coming in.
- Will hear more about previously untapped properties including Thor (deal almost done), Killraven, and Captain America.
- They are continuing their share repurchase, and will tell more on Monday.
