Anacomp to Play a Major Role at Xplor International's 20th Global Conference & Exhibit

- Visit Anacomp at Booth 1901 -

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Anacomp, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANCO), a leading application service provider (ASP) for Internet-based document-management outsource services, will demonstrate the next generation of its Internet Document Services(SM) at Xplor International's 20th Global Electronic Document Systems Conference & Exhibit at the Los Angeles Convention Center from October 31 to November 5.

Throughout the week, Anacomp associates will deliver a variety of presentations on the application, technology, and techniques of Internet-based outsource services for document management. In addition, Anacomp customers from around the world will discuss the digital document-management solutions Anacomp helped them implement for their specific business needs.

On Monday, November 1, Anacomp's chief executive officer, Ralph W. Koehrer, will be joined by Donald W. Thurman, executive vice president and Ronald Bertrand, vice president of Anacomp, to present "From COM to .com(TM): Making Internet Delivery Work." This one-hour Joint Technology Council (JTC) Partner session will offer attendees a unique view of Anacomp's technical and application service provider strategies as well as a live demonstration of Anacomp's next generation of Internet-based document services. The session will be introduced by Anacomp's JTC user-chairperson Gemma Burns, EDPP.

Beginning Tuesday, November 2, conference attendees can visit Anacomp at booth 1901 for close-up, live demonstrations of Internet Document Services, Anacomp's all-in-one service solution that integrates and stores companies' reports, statements, images and other documents, and delivers them to internal personnel and end-customers with far greater effectiveness and lower cost than companies can achieve with an in-house system. With this service, Anacomp transforms client companies' documents for web use, indexes them for easy retrieval, and hosts them on web servers at a secure Anacomp facility. Users throughout the enterprise or around the world can access them quickly and securely via private network or the Internet using standard web browsers.

Conference Session Highlights

Following is a current profile of Anacomp customer case studies that will be presented at Xplor. Complete conference schedules and descriptions can be found at www.xplor.org.

Marco Guatelli, Credit Suisse Group, Switzerland, and

Howard Fitts, Travelers Insurance Group, USA

In partnership with Anacomp, Credit Suisse Group is implementing an integrated, web-based document-management solution to provide online storage and delivery of Credit Suisse's customer documents. Mr. Guatelli will discuss the benefits Credit Suisse and its customers receive from the solution, including online access to personalized account folders, immediate retrieval and viewing, high security and confidentiality, and cost savings through reduced paper output and storage.

Travelers Insurance faced two different issues related to their commercial policy (CPS) issuing system: the need to provide direct access to policy records currently stored on microfilm and the need for a new system to capture the millions of pages of policies from the retired CPS system. Mr. Fitts reviews how Travelers, together with Anacomp, determined hardware and software requirements, examined fidelity and process issues associated with these changes, evaluated operational differences and costs, and how the new CPS archive will be integrated with other Travelers archives.
