Is there a diference between a "stock split" and "stock dividend"?
i.e. TRTC's "split" has been refered to as a 3 for 2 split and as a 50% stock dividend. I thought a stock dividend was an actual dividend like cash dividend, i.e. it is something the company gives out to share holders without diluting the number of shares (it gives shares it already holds). If that is the case then that explains the run up from the announcement.
