Testing for HbA1c (glycosilated hemoglobin Adult type 1, which is formed during metabolic glucose derangements, and it is the regular HbA1 with glicoprotein formation due to excess glucose) and is an indicator of long term control or lack of control of diabetes disease. HbA1c can not replace in any manner the daily and frequent glucose testing for usual insulin dosing changes.
