Most of our fellow threaders have bared their souls here in the last few days and I now see some of them differently. I'm impressed with their collective intelligence and thoughtfulness.

I have made an analogy that helps me to justify strong action against terrorist cells, whereever they are. I have read several of Anne Rule's books about real-life serial killers. They have no social conscience and taking an innocent life means nothing to them. They cannot be rehabilitated. Terrorists and their handlers are like that. They must be eliminated. Then we can try to take measures to mitigate the conditions that breed terrorists. Serial killers may have become that way because of a terrible childhood, but it's too late to correct that once they have killed.
