VVUS did not just ome up with the patent in 1994, the patent was filed before that. While you are correct in saying somebody could compete in the future, the head start vvus has on the competition makes it very dfficult for others.

With this being said, there is still probably room in the market for several types of treatment. For now I will stick with the horse in the lead. Good luck.
