Pharmacia,Upjohn made an investment at a much lower price.
And its standard in the industry to have big companies
investing in biotechs. They spread their money around hoping for
a hit. But Synergen and other busted biotechs had partners too.
Also they might not have know about Telomerase being in other cells
of the body at the time they made their investment. It could have
been discovered later. This transient appearance of Telomerase in
the blood, gi tract,skin and reproductive organs will kill this drug
as an anti aging compound for sure.
