I own this stock so don't misinterprate my intentions but what if Ampex is just a little too late coming to the party? I mean it should be clear that KM is great for increasing capacity on thin film inductive drives but when you consider that every major disk drive mfr. is going balls out for MR by 1998, how valuable can KM be? Unless the yield ratios for MR don't or won't compute, KM is apparently a temporary upgrade for old technology. Why else would they induce manufacturers to adopt by offering a deal to the first one? It would be nice to have someone from Ampex participate on this board to answer some of our questions. Mike
