I just sent an e-mail to Keiran concerning the use of his name in the Orckit press release, along with the controversial wording:

"After testing for raw throughput, FTP and latency, Kieran
Taylor, a telecommunications analyst with Telechoice Inc.,
wrote that "local phone companies should be able to count on
digital subscriber line technology to bring high-speed services
like Internet access and remote LAN access to residential and
corporate customers."

As displayed in the report's raw data, Orckit's ORvision
achieved the highest throughput in seven out of nine test-loops,
and succeeded in transmitting in even the most difficult test
loops (up to 15,000 feet). Orckit's ORvision ADSL was the only
modem to achieve a throughput of nearly 7 Mbps, while
maintaining an upstream data rate of 660 Kbps."

If I were him, I'd be pissed...
