Jeff,

Perhaps you could combine the odd lots into round lots for execution against round lot orders and leave the odd lot remainder with the customer that placed it. This would put the cost and inconvience on them and not the round lot trader. In your example the 4450 order would be combined with odd lots to make it 4500 or only buy 4400 of the 4500 offered leaving the 50 unfilled and the seller with 100. In my opinion the odd lot trader should bear any delay in execution and the additional cost if order is not filled in a single day.
