I have one of the out-of-print books by Darvas, "Wall Street, the Other Las Vegas." He sure has quite the story to tell, huh? I got the book through Frasier Publishing in Burlington, VT. Took them about a year to get it for me. It's very much like his best seller; however, he goes into more detail about how to use those boxes he keeps talking about. There's a Darvas thread here on Silicon Investor.
Yes, there is a demo version of ProTA you can download at the BeeSoft web site – beesoft.net.
I use Dial/Data too. I asked them the same question about downloading to both programs (I also own Personal Hotline). Wouldn't you know, nothing's ever easy, there is a user code and the first two letters actually designate what software you are downloading the information to. ProTA begins with BS. I can't remember what Trendsetter's is right now. I was told that I would have to open a separate account for each. I didn't feel like I wanted to do that so I had to make a choice. I opted for ProTA. As I said, I just don't like the way Hotline works. To me, it seems like it has funny prompts, etc. ProTA seems far more Mac friendly, Mac oriented. Not only that, I was good at using Hotline too!
