""brian believes all in China are about to rise up and overthrow the officialdom, Gordon Chang style, not realizing their is simply too much joy and happiness all around, everywhere, at all hours of the day, and all days of the year.""

First of all, I did not write or imply anything you imagine for me.

Secondly, it does not take "all" to overthrow the officialdom. i.e. Mao's revolution; Taiwan's road to democracy (real vs fake); Tienannmen Square incident; Farlukong problem. Or just looked at Chinese history repeated itself again and again. It just took one big movement. Things would change. The current officialdom ran scared to crush those possible movements just like other ancient corrupted dynasties. They better behave properly. I want the officialdom to behave properly. Or else.

I heard and saw the first hand corruption going on in China. Those not so "fun and money" factors will emerge to threaten the officialdom sooner or later. The wills of the people will not sleep forever. It is just like your prediction of financial collapse in world financial market. You should be the first one to believe. May be you will not believe because you are the one who enjoyed the first class treatment from the officialdom. Instead of feeling "money and fun" I feel sorry for the Chinese. They should be the ones who enjoyed these treatments instead of you - a foreigner. They are so many Chinese virtues are long gone forever. People like YiWu and the officialdom have lost those precious virtues. Hopefully I am wrong.

Let me ask Yiwu. How did you manage to stay in US with your background? Let me guess. It is more than likely because of Tienannemen Square incident's political asylum. Correct? What position do you take on that incident? Tell us from the bottom of your heart. Dr. Chiang told you his stories. How do you feel? How about you Jay? Still neutral?

"Gordon Chang style"

Who the hell is he? I do not have to read his book to see the future of China or Taiwan. His view is just like yours and mine. It does not mean anything to anyone. The lost virtues like honesty and the forces that Maurice mentioned before will follow their own courses to breakdown the corrupted officialdom if they did not do it right.

You mentioned I am for Taiwan Independence. You are dead wrong from your pondering. I am only for my own independence. Unlike Yiwu she should be the one who is for Taiwan Independence. They are many many similar Yiwus in Taiwan right now. I bet they have just as many in China.

May the forces be with you. Jay. Congratulations to be a future father. I know I have enjoyed every moment of my daughter's company. I know you will too.
