There's now something of a battle for stats on the web with two companies claiming to give the best numbers. One of them is Nielsen, which uses the same kind of sampling technique for the web that they use for TV. Here's their weekly top-25:

Unfortunately, Go2Net doesn't make it onto the list. That may be because they aren't properly resolving domain names to the owner, but it's an unfortunate result in any case. Although there are many problems with the system Nielsen uses and plenty of reason to hope they do not become an accepted source of statistics, it's still worthwhile to get onto their system. I hope GNET will work with them to get a better count in the future.
