I was a senior in h.s. .. class of '64. Chicago.
It was my total disbelief when I heard of it. I thought a crazy lie.

What was remarkable was that my dad cried, a man who had voted for Nixon... maybe
the comradery of WW2 P.T. boat members (JFK.. my father), or could have been the
total fascination of the occasional WhiteHouse T.V. tours with Jackie showing the public
their citizens WhiteHouse on her walkabouts. It was like a massive bright light turning
on the W.H. in the darkest of the nights... it was T.V. transfixed. We were all one.

Everybody felt that Kennedy kinship.
Check out Barry Goldwater's comments concerning JFK.
