Smoothasgraphene SI post - Anything Graphite forum - answer
Excellent post on "Anything Graphite ..." by Smoothasgraphene but since Russet and the Chief Dennis Miller are afraid of me (hillbilly pirate that I am), I cant answer his question there so I'll answer him here.

His comment:
"My biggest concern from that meeting was the statement from Olga about the agreements that haven't been made with property owners surrounding the project whos land will be affected. I understand that mining is a long process and that there is a specific order to these steps. I also understand that due to the possibility of animosity from the council and some residents that they may not want to disclose whether said land owners are leaning in one direction or the other. Some clarity as to how necessary the extra land is for the mines development would have been great however. Will this extra land make or break the mine?"

My answer:
The landowners in question are not interested in selling/leasing or being expropriated and will continue to fight CCB. The St Pierre family maple farm will continue expansion on their own family's land, and they are supported by the UPA, MRC, CCA, and GSLR council and community members. If CCB can't survive without that land then too bad, it's a bad project. Michel Brunet should stay with CCB on his own land and not drag his Neighbours into the Canada Carbon mess. They didn't ask to be part of his project. If he wants to destroy his own property and the BAPE says it's ok, well I'll live with it. Until then stay on your own land.
The east pit contains a good amount of graphite and amputating it might reduce profits (I've heard it could be a significant source of revenue) and Michel Brunet can put the tailings dump and wastewater pond on his own land. There should be no need to force his Neighbours to go along with CCBs BS and destroy their family's business and legacy.
