Of course not. I've never liked the polarization of ideas. In this case you interpreted my comment to be inner urban vs farmers it seems. Not what I was thinking at all.

I referred to the inner urban corridors as being of one mind, which is generally true with regard to politics. I talk to these people and they are pretty much lock step wrt views on politics. Granted there are always exceptions.

I don't consider everything else as representing one mind or one opposing section of the country. There is cultural diversity, there are wide ranging ways of life and interests and issues across the country.

As you know, if we eliminate California the numbers don't represent a majority. So are you saying rest of the country is just meaningless acreage? Do you want one section with it's particular interests, making the rules for everyone else ... we fought a revolution over problems that surfaced when that was the case. We'd still be British if the politicians in England had used the tax money to manage the colonies effectively, but one section always makes that mistake when they have the power to do so.
