Keep in mind that Lovins can't keep a wife and has placed his Ivory Tower far above the madding crownd in Snowmass, CO. So far, in fact, that he's the laughingstock of the town for the wastefullness of his staff schlepping up to the RMI in their gas guzzling SUVs every workday and wasting barrels and barrels of OPEC oil to evangelize about a brighter future. The irony is not lost on the bike riding townies.
