So what if he was? Didn't Senator Jeffords used to be a Republican? People change. Yes, indeed, people change. And, more and more, folks who supported Bush in the last election are changing their view of support for him for the next time around. So after the '04 election you can write: Well, didn't they used to support Bush? And it'll be just as Krugman isn't with Enron no more, just as Jeffords ain't a Republican no more--Bush won't be president no more. Yes, people and times change.
