What decision by McNealy caused three of their major markets -- telecoms, financial services, and dot-coms -- to collapse? It's a wonder they've done as well as they have without those sectors. Once the telecoms return (and they will -- MCI is shedding its debt, freeing it to invest in new equipment, and Iraq needs a new phone system, SBC is becoming increasingly aggressive about broadband, etc.) things will start to rock-and-roll again.
