The dems seem to think the Presidential race will be won by defaming our Commander In Chief, and not on the issues. The strategy is very dangerous (to them) for two reasons. One is that Americans have tired of smear tactics, and that is exactly what calling our CinC a deserter or saying he was AWOL is. The other is, two can play at that game, and Kerry is what they call a "target rich environment". And these "targets" are on the issues, no less.
