I realize that shorting Schwab would not be a realistic strategy. I think that you are absolutely correct in suggesting follow up letters to the SEC, NASD, and congress. Schwab simply has to respond with more than words to their dismal performance during the recent market volatility. Their credibility is at stake.

I will shop my accounts around as a result of the recent incident. If Schwab does not come out with a substanative plan to handle high trading volumes very soon, I will definitely find another broker.
