BLS needs to use some of that increased productivity to figure out how to use the internet and all the tools available today to collect data in real-time and display it continuously as data is collected, which theoretically could be about every microsecond. That way we could use AVERAGES. We don't need boneheads to go out and measure something on ONE DAY whenever it suites their political purpose. Give us the real data. Maybe call Oracle or Microsoft to help figure out how to do it as part of a goverment settlement <g>. Appeals court could rule that Microsoft has to update the government data collection systems no charge in exchange for 10 more years monopoly... M.
