You should visit Santa Cruz sometime and see the horrible destruction of human beings and the environment, and the putrefying of the streets, parks, trails and any open spaces, wrought by the use of marijuana and other drugs.

Possibly it would cool some of your ardor to imagine it in your own backyard.
