I think Calpers is having the same problem I am having, that interest income is low and getting lower, with no end in sight.

They have adopted the approach that Maestro has forced them to adopt, moving funds to allocations other than holding positions.

I do not have as much as they have, and so it is perhaps best to let them take it on the chin or forehead, lose 80% of that 5 billion, and then emerge to kick some dead bodies on the arena of doom for what valuables that remain.

Finance is very cold, and not much sympathy for the fallen, not even from central bankers.
