J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers

don't exactly let on that they're in on the "China Scam". See the following regarding their coverage of China Telecom.

biz.yahoo.com

biz.yahoo.com

Someone please help us "fleeced Westerners" by referring these houses to the SEC <g>.

BTW, I'm sure we're all aware that China Telecom owns about 40% of GTCI. While GTCI (through its Regent Luck (HK) sub.) maintains a voting majority as to the JV entity, China telecom's share of the JV profits would equate to 61% for the first two years and 69.4% thereafter. These figures represent the direct JV holdings of Newsnet (the China Telecom sub.) and the share of China Telecom's holdings in GTCI. I've read in many places that the Chinese government is very good at realizing what's in their own best interest.

Somebody out there have information that GTCI's representation of these arrangements is incorrect? If so, then please bring it here. I'm certain that hard information would be appreciated by all. Scare mongering is not.

All this stuff about "China's not a nice place, don't go there" doesn't mean much to me, fellas. I'm looking at this company's (GTCI), ISP business (not really interested in Y2K stuff) and I am thus interested in info. specific to GTCI.

Best Regards.
