Funny, I see the NASD composite index peaking around March 10 and retesting highs @ March 25. You're right if your talking about the DOW. Jan-March time we had a divergence between the DOW and the NAS, with money exiting the large caps and going into the techs. You'd however be in the money if you shorted the techs on Jan 1, but you'd have had to ride through the March peak (not knowing when the craziness would end).
