>>Gary Webster's definition of a "Serious Investor":

Serious Investor n. 1. any person who spouts even the most insanely optimistic things about Iomega. 2. one who prefers to ignore warnings about Iomega's failures and delayed or faulty products. 3. a group of people, esp. those found in a SI thread titled "Any Info About Iomega" who espouse KE as the second coming, without regard for his poor management decisions like the recent stock split and embarassing displays at trade shows.<<

Rocky -

Not a very careful reader, are you? Many Iomega bulls on this thread have criticized the decision to split the stock last month. And I really don't even know where you get this "KE as the second coming" crap. I don't see much discussion about KE in general, but everything I have seen indicates that most of us recognize that the man is human.

As for ignoring warnings? You really need to take better care of your credibility if you want people to heed anything you say. And many of your warnings concern your biased predictions of how people in the market will react to this or that, or how certain scenes will play out in the future. Since you have little understanding of the computer peripherals market, as evidenced by your own posts, and since you also have no ability to predict the future, I wonder why you think people should listen to you.

Honestly, Rocky, do you have any idea how crazy you sound? Your knee-jerk negativity regarding all things Iomegan is simply not sensible. They may not do everything right, but they certainly don't do everything wrong.

However, the biggest questions about you are raised by the level of your obsession. What difference does it make to you if Iomega succeeds or their stock price moves up or down? Other than your recent small trading purchase you have no stake in the company. So why do you care so much?

That's a rhetorical question, because I already know the answer. You care because you feel that you have been right about Iomega all along, and that the bulls have been wrong. You hate being wrong. You are looking for vindication of your position because you can't stand having so many people think you are that wrong.

You know what? Being right, by itself, is not really all that important. I find that when I'm wrong, the best thing I can do is to admit it and move on.
