Ok, here's something funny.

As I'm sitting down to do my taxes, I'm having a "reality" issue.

I could have sworn that sometime last month I got something in the mail from the Cleveland Indians Baseball Company. I think is was a 1099 or something of sort indicating a distribution of $22 or thereabouts. I remember being very confused, but then rationalizing that it must have something to do with the one share of stock I hung on to. I sold all but one share of stock I held through my broker after the acquisition was announced, and then requested the cert for the one remaining share. It's framed and hanging on my wall. They wanted me to send it in before the acquisition closed, but I ignored them.

But now that I'm doing my taxes, I can't find this thing I thought I had gotten from them. I'm usually pretty good about immediately filing tax stuff when I get it, so I'm beginning to wonder if it was all a dream.

Don't you hate it when that happens?
