It's just that putting that exercise into the curriculum would probably be seen as an attack; it is certainly an implicit criticism- you know what I mean. Now the big brouhaha that would follow might be healthy, or it might just split the black churches.

I think it would have to come from blacks, to be successful, and I'm not sure black Americans are interested in dividing their communities. I think they may perceive they have enough problems, without infighting- not to suggest that they have zero infighting now, but this would be huge.

So you, as a white woman, certainly aren't going to propose it, and I'm not sure which black leaders we force to stir the beehive on this one- when stirring the beehive may simply enrage part of the black community. I think waiting is best, myself- and I say that in the least enabling way I can...
