Mr. Christensen is the author of the best-selling The Innovator's Dilemma, which describes his revolutionary theories of disruptive technologies. In addition to providing Innosight with Web-based streaming video, USA Video Interactive will enable the streaming of Mr. Christensen's Disruptive Innovation Primer, the hallmark speech explaining the dynamics of technological disruption, and will host and/or produce creative content and live Webcasts and will collaborate on Innosight's future needs and desired capabilities. USA Video Interactive will licence use of its patents to Innosight as part of this contract. Commenting on the agreement, Innosight's chief executive officer, Michael Overdorf, stated: "Through our methodology and technology, Innosight will help to set the standard for how managers learn and solve problems using the Internet. We believe that our partnership with USA Video Interactive for streaming media will be a key enabler to our ability to achieve this goal." USA Video Interactive introduced the Delivering Disruption session at last November's Disruptive Innovation Conference in Vancouver, noting that: "Our technology works best in today's limited bandwidth environment, but it also will meet the future needs that many of their customers don't even know they have yet. Thus, USA Video Interactive can assist established companies in serving today's consumer demands for streaming video while bridging to accommodate future demands," said USA Video's chief financial officer, Tony Drescher. About Innosight Innosight is a new model for business learning built upon Clayton Christensen's revolutionary principles of disruption. Through up-to-the minute Web-delivered content, the active participation of Mr. Christensen, and a staff of knowledge professionals, Innosight is able to help companies solve the problems that they are encountering today, as well as those that they should anticipate in the future. The Innosight Journal, the centrepiece of the company's rich-content base, is a venue for the distribution of Mr. Christensen's latest thought. Rather than waiting to release his ideas in a second book, Mr. Christensen is distributing them via Innosight, where managers can use them in real time, discuss and debate, and arrive at solutions now.
