"democrats bitter because they are inherently sad, lonely, miserable, etc, etc." Well, that's all true of me, but then I'm not a Democrat, so I can't say what Democrats are really like. The mere idea of being "labeled" as one party or the other kinda irks me because that seems to be against the whole idea our Founding Fathers initially had. I think they wanted people to be able to look at the issues and decide which person best represented their views. The Republicans kinda LOST me when they went to "credit card" or "borrow and spend" economics under Reagan. They also seemed to forget Eisenhower's comments about not letting the Military Industrial Complex run the Country. Barry Goldwater would have thought Reagan way off base on economics and he would have been embarrassed at the thought of HIS Party using religious fundamentalism to DIVIDE the Country.
